A brand new baby? An excuse to sew itty bitty baby clothes? Why, yes, I will dust off my machine for that!
This Sewing Showcase post aims inspire with a unique combination of sewing pattern and fabrics.

Inspired by an upcoming baby shower, and some wonderful fabrics from Hobby Lobby, I pulled out my favorite baby clothes pattern: the Lullaby Layette from Oliver + S. Check out these fabrics! They are precious and delicate, yet sophisticated and classic. I mean, just look at those teeny dots on that pale pink...
Once again, sewing an Oliver + S pattern makes me feel like a sewing superstar just for following the pattern. Those diaper-roomy pants! With the tiniest of pockets!
That perfectly pleated placket!
That magically constructed reversible jacket!
It all comes together so easily with an attention to every detail and finish. What a perfect shower gift for a brand new niece.
Fabric & Notions
Fabric: Pale Pink Mini Dot Apparel Fabric; Black in the Woods Apparel Fabric; Berry Leaves Apparel Fabric (all Hobby Lobby)
Snaps: Sew-Ology Plastic Snaps, Grey, 7/16 in. (Hobby Lobby)
Note
I can never seem to find white snaps when I want them, and the pinks were all off in hue or tone. But in the end the grey really work for me.
Love
This is another wonderful trifecta of perfect fabric + pattern + wearer (a baby! come on!). What's not to love?
