Inspire Us Thursday, April 24!

It's time for the Inspire Us Thursday! link party. Fire up your favorite post from the week and get ready to share and to be inspired. This week stay around and click on a couple of links. Try checking out the links immediately before yours and after yours, you may find yourself inspired by something new.

[Clockwise from upper right] PiePie Designs; Bugaboo, Mini, Mr. & Me; Deux souriceaux; and Threading My Way.

Check out these fabulous creations!

Lisa at PiePie Designs sewed up this lovely Persimmon Sundress. I love the choices she made from fabric to pattern options.

How fabulous is this Tutu for a Pixie? Kimberly of Bugaboo, Mini, Pip, Mr. & Me used the same method we've all seen done in tulle ...but with yarn. It's amazing the difference a simple substitution can make. The various weight-yarns really make this work.

Frozen has taken the world (or at least the internet) by storm. Here's a lovely "Elsa-top" by Raphaelle of Deux Souriceaux sewn from the Ballon Top pattern. How perfect.

I'm in love with this fabric. Pam at Threading My Way created this while attending a screen-printing workshop. I started dreaming up ways to use it, and then remembered it wasn't available for me to sew.

I love a good Link Party. Perusing link parties is how I found most of the sewing-bloggers I now follow, led me to learn sewing tips and tricks I never would have discovered otherwise, and first introduced me to the world of self-published sewing patterns. My favorite parties are inevitably the ones populated by lots of sewing, or knitting, or cross-stitch, or crochet; but those links can be hard to find through all the food and decor and blogging tips these days. So rather than endlessly search the interwebs for those rare link parties full of fabric and yarn and embroidery floss, I thought I'd bring it to my little corner of the web. And now it's time to link up!

GUIDELINES:

Keep to the medium of fiber.

Basically anything with fabric, thread, floss, or yarn is welcome—sewing of all kinds (sew), cross-stitch & embroidery (needle), knitting (stitch), crochet (hook).

Showcase your own work.

Please no link parties, giveaways, or advertisements.

Upload up to three links per week.

You can also link-up images from Flickr and Pinterest (as long as it's your own uploaded work); so even if you don't have a blog of your own, you can still inspire others and get feedback by sharing your work with us here. But please avoid repetition from week to week, or even within the same week.

That's it! Piece of cake. If you see something you like, be polite and let the creator know with comments on their blog. Now let's get started...

You should really see all that goes into each project!
From my model preferring to dance free than pose for pics, to my stress every time I find myself in the button aisle. Daily updates on Instagram (and Flickr) of works-in-progress will give you that behind the scenes view you’re looking for, and sneak peeks of First Tuesday Tutorials, too.

  12. Good luck with all that cleaning. I still have to put up Christmas, too. Love the colors of your Irish Chain. You have such a knack for taking a traditional design and making it Modern.
